Spring has arrived! In a four-season country like Korea, you can enjoy the beauty of cherry blossom. Spring in Korea lasts from the end of March to mid-April. But every place must have a different bloom date, some are faster, some are slower.

People said the best season to visit Korea is spring or fall. I’ve only enjoyed the autumn one. Because I haven’t enjoyed the spring in Korea, that’s why I write this so that if someday I go to Korea in spring, I already know where I want to go to enjoy the beauty of spring in Korea 😀

This spring flower festival in Yeouido takes place every year in early April to mid-April. Along the road decorated with rows of cherry trees that turn into a flower tunnel. In addition, we can also enjoy the road along the outskirts of Hangang River through this beautiful flower tunnel. Beautiful isn’t it? This is indeed one of the most popular destinations to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms in Korea.

Jinhae Gunhangje Festival is touted as the largest sakura festival in Korea. Anmingogae Hill, Jehwangsan Park and Yeojwacheon Bridge (also known as Romance Bridge) are the most favorite places to see sakura in this Jinhae region. Then there is also Gyeonghwa Station which is really Instagrammable 😉

In addition, the Simni (10ri) Cherry Blossom Road is no less beautiful. This road runs 4 km from the Hwagae market to the Ssanggyesa temple in Hadong, Gyeongsangnam-do. The annual Hwagae Cherry Blossom Festival is held here every early April and offers beautiful views. There is a myth that says that if a couple walks along this street holding their partner’s hand, their relationship will last until death separates them 😀 Therefore, this street is also often referred to as “The Wedding Road”.

Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival is the first cherry blossom festival that we can see during spring in Korea. The interesting thing here is that we can enjoy not only cherry blossoms, but also the beautiful yellow canola flowers. Cherry blossom can be found anywhere on Jeju Island, including Jeju-si and Seogwipo-si. But the most famous are Mount Sanbansan, Seongsan Ilchulbong Sunrise Peak, and Noksan-ro. At Noksan-ro, we can enjoy cherry blossoms and canola at the same time.

Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival takes place in the Gyeongpo Lake area, where we can walk along 4.3 km filled with cherry trees. The Gyeongpodae Pavilion at the end of the lake is the best photo spot to take photos and enjoy the lake view. Because Lake Gyeongpo is directly opposite the Gyeongpo Beach, we can stop by the beach and enjoy the beautiful views of the East Sea.

Transportation:
From Gangneung Intercity Bus Terminal or Gangneung Express Bus Terminal, take a Bus 202 and get off at Gyeongpodae Bus Stop.

Actually there are many more tourist attractions in Korea that are beautiful to enjoy cherry blossom. But in my opinion, above are the five most beautiful tourist attractions. I personally really like the third one, Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival, where we can enjoy sakura and canola together 😀
