From the above comparison, we can see some differences. For example, at first we wanted to go to The Traditional Houses of Belitung on the forth day. But in the end, we went to Tanjung Tinggi Beach again, even though we went there already on the third day. It’s because we really love Tanjung Tinggi Beach! We thought if we have time, we could go to The Traditional Houses, but unfortunately we didn’t have time to go to there. However, we went to some additional tourist destinations, such as Ecowisata Mangrove Kuale and Bakau Labuna.

Moreover, there are some restaurants that we didn’t go a try, such as Belitong Timpo Duluk, Kampong Dedaun, and Suto Belitung Mak Janah. FYI, according to our guide, Belitong Timpo Duluk is not as yummy as it used to be, because the chef has moved to other restaurant. They are now winning on their nuance, the traditional Belitung nuance. So we decided to have lunch and dinner at the other restaurants, such as Dapoer Belitung, Songsui, etc. The restaurants are mostly recommended by our driver, Mr. Wawan.

Budgeting

  1. The Predict Fees

2. The Actual Fees

We flew from Jakarta to Belitung (Tanjung Pandan) by using NAM Air and from Belitung (Tanjung Pandan) to Jakarta by using Sriwijaya Air. At that time, we booked the flight via Traveloka, and got the price Rp788.000 Round Trip Jakarta-Tanjung Pandan, 20kg baggage. Then we also booked the hotel via Traveloka. We chose Maxone Hotel, and got the price Rp726.396 for 3 nights per person. So, it was Rp242.132 per night per person.

For the transportation in Belitung, we rented car and driver. Because in Belitung, there are no public transportation, so we have to rent car or motorcycle, or take a taxi. We can also rent the driver. Fortunately there’s a friend of my friend who owned tour & travel in Belitung, so we contacted him to rent the car and driver, and we got the price Rp350.000 for 3 days per person. At first we planned to rent car and driver for only 3 days, because on the last day we planned to take a taxi. But finally we decided to rent car and driver on the last day too, because we thought it’s more convenient to have the car and driver with us. And we got the total price Rp437.500 for 4 days per person. And because there’s a day we did island hopping, so we must rent a boat. The price of boat rental was Rp500.000/boat. Because we’re 4 persons in total, so it was Rp125.000/person for rent a boat.

There are also some unforeseen expenses, such as rent Gopro for a day, etc. So the total actual fees was Rp3.071.146, for 4 Days 3 Nights in Belitung.

That’s my itinerary and budgeting for 4 Days 3 Nights in Belitung. So, I can make a conclusion, with 3 million Rupiah you can explore Belitung for 4 Days 3 Nights. And it’s not a Backpacker budgeting. It’s more a Flashpacker budgeting. I love to go by my own, rather than with tour & travel. There are a lot of tour&travel in Belitung. But I prefer to just rent a car and driver through the tour&travel, so I can personalized the itinerary by my own 🙂
